A beautiful wedding in France.
Firstly I would like to say a massive thank you to Julie and Thomas for taking a leap of faith in someone they had never met in person and flying me across the world.
While I love photographing weddings in New Zealand, it’s always a privilege to be given the opportunity to travel. France is one of my favourite places and documenting a French wedding has been a career goal of mine. I knew that Julie and Thomas’s day was going to be beautiful. But I didn’t expect it to be quite as beautiful as it was!
Julie and Thomas’s wedding took place in the south of France at the Domaine de Ronsac – a large manor in the countryside set just outside of Toulouse, nicknamed La Villa Rose (The Pink City) because most of the buildings are made up of pinkish terracotta bricks. In true stylish French fashion, the guests and the wedding party wore pops of red to match the unique architecture. It was a rare rainy day but it didn’t damper the fun or the beauty and gave me the most exquisite light to photograph with.
Julie and Thomas were incredibly welcoming. With the whole family there to celebrate, including their two little girls, it was an unforgettable wedding filled with laughter, love, dancing, and people who really know how to party.
